The Tampa Bay Business Journal’s second annual Economic Outlook drew 400 attendees to the Straz Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday morning to hear about global, national and local economic trends for 2020.

After welcoming remarks from TBBJ President and Publisher Ian Anderson, St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman and Tampa Mayor Jane Castor also welcomed the crowd.

Adam Thomas, managing partner at Dixon Hughes Goodman also made remarks, as did Joel Stevens, managing director with Bernstein Wealth Management.

Presenters were Mark Vitner, managing director and senior economist at Wells Fargo Securities LLC; Kathleen M. Fisher, head of wealth and investment strategies at Bernstein Private Wealth Management; and Andrew Wright, CEO and managing partner of Franklin Street, a full-service commercial real estate firm.

Wright founded Franklin Street in December 2006. It is a Tampa-based full-service commercial real estate firm that has hundreds of employees and billions of dollars in current transaction value. As CEO and managing partner, he develops and defines strategic goals and major initiatives for Franklin Street while overseeing its collaborative verticals. Prior to Franklin Street, he worked for a national brokerage company specializing in multifamily sales.
