Academy Sports set to join Georgia’s largest retail shopping center

Premier sporting goods store announces Fayette Pavilion location

ATLANTA, Georgia —

Franklin Street announced it has secured a new lease agreement with Academy Sports to open a 53,000 square foot store at Fayette Pavilion. Franklin Street’s provides landlord services for 5Rivers, the landlord of Fayette Pavilion, Georgia’s largest retail shopping center.   

“The addition of Academy Sports to Fayette Pavilion enhances our already established 1.5 million square foot shopping center,” Sam Krueger, managing director, Franklin Street, said. “This premier sporting goods store will create new opportunities for existing tenants to thrive while driving additional leasing activity to the property and providing an enhanced retail experience for the community. Fayette Pavilion is consistently recognized as a top visited power center in the state, and this addition will only strengthen that metric.”

Fayette Pavilion, located at 72 Pavilion Parkway in Fayetteville, Georgia. It has 1.5 million square feet of retail space and is the primary retail hub for Fayette County and surrounding suburbs. The shopping center was developed in 1995 and all four phases were completed by 2003, and since been the home to almost every national power center retailer that is actively expanding. Academy Sports joins tenants like The Home Depot, Target, Walmart, PetSmart, Publix and over 60 other tenants. The shopping center still has availability ranging from 3k SF up to 50k for retailers looking to enter the market.
