Joe Lombardo serves as Director for Franklin Street’s National Self-Storage team in Charlotte, N.C. In his role, working alongside Senior Directors Frank DeSalvo and David Perlleshi, Mr. Lombardo will provide comprehensive real estate solutions for owners and investors of self-storage assets located throughout the Carolinas.
Mr. Lombardo brings with him several years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. He was previously with Sands Investment Group in Charlotte, N.C., for almost four years, where he specialized in the disposition and acquisition of multi-tenant retail centers on behalf of high-net worth investors, institutions, private equity groups, REITs and private family trusts. Mr. Lombardo has assisted over $100 million in transaction volume during his time at Sands Investment Group.
Previously to SIG, Mr. Lombardo handled the retail acquisitions for the family office of Glazer Properties in Rochester, N.Y., who also owns and manages the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as well as Manchester United Football Club. During his time at Glazer Properties, his responsibilities included sourcing, underwriting and financing of retail, office and multi-family investments. He closed on over $50 million worth of retail and office properties during his tenure. He also helped lease and manage the retail & office portfolio, giving him insight on all aspects of commercial real estate ownership and uses this knowledge to advise his clients in all aspects of their properties.
Mr. Lombardo is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of North Carolina.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
- Mr. Lombardo is passionate about rescue animals in the Charlotte area, having rescued multiple dogs including his current dog, Luca. He also volunteers his time and money at the local dog park with improvement projects through the PMNA.
