Fifteen employees from Franklin Street’s Fort Lauderdale office joined forces to make life better for a single mother and her children in Pompano Beach through the commercial real estate firm’s corporate philanthropy program.
The group joined several other volunteers on Thursday, June 29th, to spruce up the family’s home as part of a service project organized by Rebuilding Together Broward. The nonprofit revitalizes homes and communities to ensure that low income people live in warmth, comfort, safety and independence.
The Franklin Street team armed with buckets, rags and brushes cleaned and painted the home while getting in some bonding time with each other. This project was one of several completed across the Southeast as part of Franklin Street’s quarterly philanthropy events. Franklin Street provides employees in each office with paid time off for their participation in community service projects.
“I want to thank Rebuilding Together Broward for the work they do and for organizing companies like ours to make lives better in our community,” said David Fleisher, regional managing partner of Franklin Street’s Fort Lauderdale office. “Each quarter, Franklin Street volunteers partner with local charities to help individuals in need. By partnering with Rebuilding Together Broward, we were able to assist a family that needed our support.”
