Franklin Street Real Estate Services adds industrial expert, Bryce Grafton, as Director of Industrial Investment Sales to the Tampa office. Grafton has more than 16 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, specializing in the acquisition and disposition of industrial properties throughout the country.

Andrew Wright, CEO, believes Grafton’s extensive knowledge and experience in the commercial real estate field will serve as a valuable asset to the company’s industrial client base.

“Bryce has deep connections across the country which will enable our industrial division to penetrate not only the markets in which we are already active, but key markets that do not yet know the Franklin Street brand,” Wright said. “I’m extremely confident in his knowledge and business development strategies and am looking forward to seeing his career flourish with the Franklin Street platform.”

Prior to joining Franklin Street, Grafton served as CEO of Catalyst Development, where he helped investors reposition value-add assets. While in this role, he personally raised more than $20 million in private capital to invest in real estate portfolios.

“Previously, I was responsible for the repositioning of value-add properties to manage and house several industrial long-term assets,” Grafton said. “Through the recession I was able to gain a lot of experience in several aspects of industrial real estate and now that the market has stabilized, I am able to utilize the skills I fine-tuned during that time.”

Grafton has a positive outlook for the industrial market.

“Industrial sales across the nation spiked at the end of 2013 with continued high returns,” Grafton said. “Capitalizing on value-add opportunities as well as asset efficiency and product movement is crucial to how the market and these properties will hold in the future.”

Grafton also expects industrial to positively gain from the continued popularity of online shopping. “Retailers are shrinking their brick-and mortar presence and shifting a lot of their inventory to fulfillment centers where shoppers can only get that product from ordering online,” said Grafton. “I believe we will see industrial continue to grow, especially in cities and markets that have the ability to move product quickly.”

Grafton began his career in land development, responsible for all phases of construction including selecting sites and ensuring profitability. He graduated from Western Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication and Management/Marketing. Grafton is a licensed Florida Real Estate Salesperson.
