Franklin Street promoted Matthew Harrell to chief executive officer in its Tampa, Florida, office.
Harrell joined Franklin Street in 2009, serving in several roles including managing director of insurance services and most recently, chief revenue officer. Harrell has been recognized on numerous occasions for his sales and leadership accomplishments, ranking as Franklin Street’s top producer from 2013 to 2021 and earning the firm’s “Leadership Award” in 2010, 2011 and 2019.
Harrell is succeeding the company’s founder and only previous CEO, Andrew Wright. Wright will retain his role as chairman of the board. Franklin Street is headquartered in Tampa, with additional locations throughout Florida, Atlanta and Chicago.
