Franklin Street, a commercial real estate brokerage and insurance firm, has hired Frank DeSalvo and David Perlleshi as senior directors to lead its self-storage sales platform. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, they’ll represent facility owners and investors nationwide, according to a press release.

DeSalvo and Perlleshi have worked together since 2017 at New York-based Houston Street Capital LLC, where they specialized in self-storage acquisitions and development in the Southeast. Most recently, they advised self-storage investors on behalf of Sands Investment Group. In addition to leading the Franklin Street self-storage practice, the duo will collaborate with the company’s insurance, capital-advisory, leasing and management teams.

“We are thrilled to be expanding our full-service capabilities into the self-storage space,” said CEO Matthew Harrell. “Frank and David are leaders and innovators within the self-storage industry who bring an impressive track record of maximizing value for their clients. As they build a national practice in collaboration with our existing lines of business, our goal is to become the real estate partner of choice to the country’s top self-storage investors.”
