Austin Business Journal: Franklin Street’s Ryan Bohls on Back-to-Office Trends

When it comes to leasing activity, the downtown office market hasn’t had much to cheer about lately — but one bright spot has emerged in the form of a fresh deal from a new high-tech tenant.

While tech companies are still coming to terms with the issue, employees of law firms and financial services firms have been returning to offices in the CBD, said Ryan Bohls, regional managing director at Franklin Street, a brokerage firm that recently announced its entry into Texas and the Austin market.

“Services firms continue to lead the return-to-office movement, driving demand as the venture markets handicap growth of tech funding’s,” he said.
