Professional Experience

Marshall Durrett serves as Managing Director of Franklin Street’s land and investment sales team in Central Texas and senior partner in the rapidly growing Austin office. In his land advisory leadership role, he spearheads the acquisition and disposition of developable land for diverse commercial projects such as multifamily, light industrial, mixed use and retail, as well as suburban land for development of master planned communities. His responsibilities extend to cultivating a multi-market team of land experts and collaborating with various business lines at Franklin Street to deliver a comprehensive, full-service experience for owners, investors, and developers.

With almost three decades of experience in real estate development and business leadership, Durrett brings a unique perspective to the needs of his clients. He possesses a keen ability to analyze real estate opportunities, consistently demonstrating an urgent yet focused attention to yield optimal results in the best interest of his clients.

His experience as a previous business owner bolsters Franklin Street’s leadership team while his dual master’s degrees in Land Development and Construction Management amplify the firm’s significant roster of real estate expertise. 

Before joining Franklin Street, Durrett served as Senior Director for Cushman & Wakefield’s Land Advisory Services team where he was a perennial top producer. In this capacity, he played a pivotal role in assisting buyers and sellers of commercial real estate in Central Texas, providing expert investment advisory and turnkey brokerage services. He is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Texas.

Marshall specializes in providing a wide variety of capabilities for landowners, end users, investors and developers of commercial, industrial, retail, residential and mixed-use properties:
