Randolph Williamson and Parke Day Properties Break Ground on New Shopping Center

Published By:

Franklin Street's Reid Mason and Leigh Anne McGarry are leasing the new Crossroads Shoppes at Coal Mountain, a 61,100-square-foot shopping center under construction at Browns Bridge Road and Ga. 400.

Randolph Williamson and Parke Day Properties broke ground today on phase one of the Crossroads Shoppes at Coal Mountain shopping center, conveniently located at the intersection of Browns Bridge Road and Georgia 400 in Cumming, Georgia. The center is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2018.

Phase one of the development totals 23,100 square feet of retail space, with a patio joining two buildings adjacent to a new Walmart Supercenter. Project leaders announced that Verizon, Domino’s Pizza, Palapas Mexican Restaurant, and Hibachi Express recently inked a lease agreement for a new location at Crossroads Shoppes at Coal Mountain, with other deals pending.

“The premier location of Crossroads Shoppes at Coal Mountain offers convenience to shoppers and tremendous growth potential for tenants,” said Mark Williamson, principal of Randolph Williamson. “We’re thrilled to have trusted names like Verizon and Domino’s Pizza become part of our community, and look forward to sharing more news on additional lease signings in the near future.”

The two mirror-image buildings have upscale front elevations with dedicated parking, and available retail blocks ranging from 1,700 to 6,000 square feet. A second phase of the project is being planned now. Randolph Williamson is serving as general contractor. The architect for Crossroads Shoppes at Coal Mountain is Hug & Associates, while Franklin Street is handling leasing efforts.

The average household income within a five-mile radius of the new shopping center is more than $92,000. NerdWallet recently ranked Cumming no. 6 in its top ten list for best places to start a business in Georgia.

“All the ingredients for success can be found at Crossroads Shoppes at Coal Mountain,” said Parke Day, President of Parke Day Properties, LLC. “The demographic trends point to substantial foot traffic here in the years ahead, and we’re thrilled to extend our partnership with Randolph Williamson to create a flourishing business environment for retailers and a vibrant shopping and dining experience for the surrounding community.”
