Insurance Account Executive

Franklin Street is currently seeking an Insurance Account Executive to join our team in Tampa, FL.

The ideal candidate must possess seven years of experience supporting a commercial insurance business, preferably in the P&C specialty area. Additionally, an active Florida 2-20 commercial insurance license or equivalent is required. If not residing in Florida, will be required to obtain a non-residence Florida license. AMS 360 proficiency or similar industry software experience and working with multi-family unit owners is a plus.

Position Overview:

The Insurance Account Executive role is responsible for supporting producers/agents, managing client relationships, and ensuring the seamless delivery of insurance services. The Account Executive will leverage best practices, exercise independent judgment, and serve as a resource for both clients and internal teams. This position will work in a corporate office.

  • Collaborates with Agent to drive strategy planning process focusing on new business client opportunities. Clientele focused on Multi-Family Real Estate risks.
  • Evaluates exposure changes, business changes, client goals and financial health of clients to make recommendations for coverage placement and stewardship planning.
  • Possesses a sound understanding of market innovation and disruptors and the impact it could have on a client.
  • Communicates with clients and markets related to matters of strategic significance.
  • Markets new business and key account renewal opportunities to appropriate carriers. Including ability to build complex layered property programs.
  • Manages day-to-day client relationships that require a higher level of service and serve as their insurance advisor by providing expert insurance advice and solutions to clients.
  • Reviews existing coverage and identify gaps; recommend new or additional insurance products.
  • Prepares submissions, gather underwriting data, and market new/renewal business.
  • Markets risks ensure competitive pricing and comprehensive coverage.
  • Coordinates with carriers and underwriters to negotiate terms and pricing.
  • Prepares detailed, accurate, and tailored proposals and present, in person or via on-line, coverage options to clients.
  • Maintains accurate client records in the agency management systems.
  • Provides ongoing client support, including answering policy questions, and assisting with claim issues or reviews.
  • Creation of and timely delivery of insurance presentations and documents to clients.
  • Adheres to established agency best practices and workflows.
  • Reviews prospects’ current insurance policies and exposures to offer improvements to programs and create opportunities for winning business.
  • Exercises independent judgment in the management of accounts and problem-solving for client needs.
  • Maintains clear, professional, and timely communication with Clients, Brokers, Underwriters, Internal teams, and Management.
  • Fosters and maintains strong relationships with underwriters and brokers.
  • Collaborates with producers and underwriters to deliver optimal client solutions.
  • Prioritizes tasks effectively to manage deliverables and meet deadlines.
  • Communicates proactively with clients regarding market conditions.
  • Serves as a technical resource on insurance coverage for team members and clients.
  • Supports corporate and departmental goals aligned with the company’s vision and values.
  • Maintains a professional image, demonstrating integrity and leadership.
  • Commits to continual self-improvement and ongoing education in insurance best practices.
  • Mentors and support team members to promote their professional growth and development.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience supporting a commercial insurance business – preferably in the P&C specialty area strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Multi-Family Unit Owners a plus
  • An active Florida 2-20 commercial insurance license or equivalent. If not residing in Florida, will be required to obtain non-residence Florida license.
  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management or other applicable areas of concentration is strongly preferred.
  • AMS 360 proficiency or similar industry software experience a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, Monday.com and related software required.
  • Analytical ability is required to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various problems, and prioritize work.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to speak clearly and concisely.
  • Must possess the ability to represent the company professionally both in person and over the phone with a pleasant demeanor and customer service focus.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, markets, and underwriting guidelines.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and client relationship management skills.
