Publix Super Markets Inc. is building a store in the new Plaza at Normandy retail center at northwest Normandy Boulevard and Chaffee Road in West Jacksonville .
The city issued permits July 18 for Atlanta-based Benning Construction Co. to build the 47,240-square-foot Publix at a project cost of $3.5 million and a 9,800-square-foot retail shell building for tenants at $901,600.

The Franklin Street real estate firm represents the retail space for lease and the two outparcels for ground lease or build-to-suit. Franklin Street Senior Vice President Carrie Smith, Director Ricky Ostrofsky and associate Kaelyn Cassidy represent the property.
