Franklin Street has hired Chad Atwood as its retail investment sales director as the Jacksonville office adds additional services.
Atwood has more than 15 years experience in real estate, including investment brokerage, property management, redevelopment and development services, according to a Franklin Street news release. He had specialized in retail portfolio management and investment properties.
Atwood most recently worked as a senior associate and multi-tenant retail asset manager for Marcus & Millichap’s Jacksonville office where he focused on the Southeast United States.
At Franklin Street, Atwood will be responsible for asset underwriting, market positioning, portfolio management, cash-flow analysis and projects, acquisitions and dispositions for retail investment clients.
Franklin Street announced in January the company planned to double the size of its office in 2017. While Atwood is the first director position hired, two associate brokers have been hired as the company moves to offer more services in the Jacksonville area.
“We are proud to add Chad to our growing retail investment services,” said Yvonne Baker, a regional managing partner at Franklin Street. “His varied background and experience along with the sharp focus on investment services will be an asset to our team and clients.”
Franklin Street had carved out a niche in tenant and landlord representation after former managing partner Carrie Smith established the Franklin Street office in late 2009.
The company now has Jim Reed focusing on multifamily investment sales, Whitney Kantor specializing in landlord representation, David McCagg and Monte Merritt working on office and industrial tenant and landlord representation. Yvonne Baker is the managing partner of the Jacksonville office and Carrie Smith is the managing director.
