Tom Kersting serves as Managing Director of Franklin Street Real Estate Services in Tampa. He is primarily focused on land investments throughout the state of Florida. Mr. Kersting utilizes Franklin Street’s broad platform to support the acquisition efforts of real estate developers, as well as representing owners in the disposition of land assets. Additionally, he focuses on site selection services, most often for the intended use of multifamily, mixed-use or industrial developments. Mr. Kersting is a directing member of the Institutional Services Group.

Tom started his career with Franklin Street in 2014 serving as President of Franklin Street Insurance Services. He oversaw the operational and financial performance of the division, and portfolio of more than $10 billion in property values. Notably, Mr. Kersting focused on expanding Franklin Street’s Insurance Services geographic presence and service lines throughout business development activities, recruitment and acquisitions.

Mr. Kersting continues to be a key member in the ever-changing landscape of the Tampa Bay real estate community, regularly attending industry events. He is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Florida, and he is a licensed commercial insurance agent with a broad experience in private equity, real estate and Florida property risk management.
