Kevin Madden is a Managing Director for Franklin Street’s Insurance Services team. Based in New York, he specializes in risk management, insurance services, and consulting solutions for clients globally.  

Madden previously served as Real Estate Industry Leader for AON, the largest real estate insurance brokerage, for 25 years. He has advised institutional owners, private equity firms, real estate lenders and other market participants on insurance strategy, risk management, program structure and client service. He has particular expertise in developing master insurance programs for institutional and private equity real estate clients. His experience includes helping clients evaluate and coordinate portfolio-wide coverage strategies, navigate complex insurance requirements and replace fragmented property-level approaches with more cohesive insurance solutions. He also brings significant lender-advisory experience, having consulted with real estate lenders on insurance requirements, and has participated in industry committees and task forces focused on real estate and insurance issues.  

Throughout his career, Madden has developed master real estate insurance programs for institutional and private equity firms, helping improve clients’ yield performance. He has also spoken at numerous industry associations and conferences, including the National Multifamily Housing Council, NAREIT, the Urban Land Institute, the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers and BOMA, among others.
