John Tennant is a seasoned real estate professional with an impressive track record of success. With over 35 years of experience navigating the dynamic commercial real estate market across the United States, Mr. Tennant has established himself as a leading expert in the sale of regional and power shopping centers as well as grocery-anchored and unanchored shopping centers. He joined Franklin Street in 2010 as a Senior Director, quickly becoming a key contributor to the investment sales team. This appointment was a testament to his exceptional career, which includes overseeing more than 10 million square feet of leasing and development transactions prior to joining Franklin Street.

Throughout his tenure at Franklin Street, Mr. Tennant has consistently demonstrated his expertise by successfully selling over 700 retail investment properties. This impressive portfolio encompasses a wide range of properties, from single-tenant buildings to large-scale power centers and grocery-anchored shopping centers. Mr. Tennant’s contributions to the real estate industry have been widely recognized. He is a recipient of numerous industry awards, including Franklin Street’s prestigious Sales Achievement Award from 2012 to 2024, CoStar’s 2012 Power Broker award, and the 2007 Fulton County New Development Outlook Award.

Furthermore, Mr. Tennant actively participates in the real estate community. He is a valued member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, demonstrating his commitment to industry advancement and professional development. John Tennant’s extensive experience, proven track record of success, and active involvement in the industry make him a highly respected figure in the commercial real estate sector.
