With more than 26 years representing national, regional, and local office clients, Chris Butler serves as Executive Managing Partner for Franklin Street’s Office and Industrial division. Mr. Butler is responsible for overseeing the direction of the division and its agents, while also supporting business development efforts across all Franklin Street offices.

Prior to Franklin Street, Mr. Butler was responsible for more than $300 million in transactions as well as strategic oversight for multiple national account portfolios consisting of 2.25 million square feet in more than 300 locations across the U.S. Mr. Butler has secured more than 10 million square feet of anchor tenants for both speculative and build-to-suit office projects for several clients including Shutts & Bowen LLP, Atkins, Terracon, HNTB, and more. During his time with Jones Lang LaSalle, he managed more than 5.1 million square feet of office product throughout Central Florida as well as the recruitment and management of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville offices. Prior to Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr. Butler was responsible for opening Staubach’s Tampa office and served seven years with CLW Real Estate Services Group representing large corporate users.

Extremely active in the commercial real estate community, Mr. Butler has received several awards including CoStar’s Top 25 Power Broker of the Year from 2006 to 2013, the Staubach Company Top Producer in 2007, Jones Lang LaSalle Top Producer in 2008, 2009, 2011, and 2012, Jones Lang LaSalle’s Top Gun award in 2010 and 2013, and NAIOP’s Best Broker Team in 2012. He holds several commercial real estate affiliations with the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and the Real Estate Investment Council (REIC). Aside from commercial real estate, Mr. Butler served Leadership Tampa class of 2008, a non-profit organization governed by those who live and work in the Tampa Bay region and is currently an active board member of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Butler received his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Tampa and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia. He is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Florida.
