Franklin Street, a full-service commercial real estate firm, has added two experienced commercial real estate appraisers to its growing Valuation Advisory division. Joseph F. Foley joins Franklin Street as a senior designated appraiser, with Robert Baird joining the firm as a senior appraiser.
Foley has two decades of experience in the valuation industry valuing, managing and consulting on a wide variety of property types including: retail, office/industrial buildings, mixed-use properties, office/industrial and residential cooperatives, hotels, transferable development rights, air rights, marine properties, airport industrial park, vacant land, partial interests, easements and special-use properties.
Prior to joining Franklin Street, Foley worked as an appraisal consultant with Joseph J. Blake & Associates, Inc. where he provided appraisal and consulting services for the Atlanta, Miami and New York regional offices. He is also a designated member of the Appraisal Institute and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
Baird joins Franklin Street as a senior appraiser with more than 25 years of experience. He specializes in all commercial property types including: office, industrial, multifamily, single and multi-tenant retail, acreage tracts, special purpose properties, port-related properties, churches, single-family residential subdivisions, conservation easements, partial interests, equestrian properties, residential, vacant land projects and a variety of eminent domain appraisals.
“Franklin Street offers us a different experience than a company that does solely appraisal work,” Baird said in the company’s press release. “With the company’s diverse and rapidly expanding real estate platform and its culture of collaboration, we are able to interact directly with deal makers right under our roof and gather important data and trends seen in our line of work. This is a major benefit to our clients who are looking for the most-accurate valuation data available.”
Baird is a member of several organizations including the Association of Eminent Domain Professionals, and served on the board of directors for the Florida Gulf Coast Chapter of the Appraisal Institute.
“Joe and Robert both bring a wealth of broad-based experience to our Valuation Advisory group,” Division President Marty Engelmann said. “I fully expect their leadership skills and work ethic to be tremendous resources for our clients, further providing positive influences on our junior staff members.”
