Client situation

  • After the client received significant funding, Franklin Street was hired to develop and execute a comprehensive workplace strategy for Jupiter Power’s rapid growth, leading to the relocation of both JP’s HQ in Austin and their commercial development office in Chicago.
  • The leadership objective was to incentivize a return-to-office initiative, enable growth, and retain company culture.

How we did it / Approach

  • Ran a comprehensive process in Austin’s urban core, touring over 20 buildings from boutique to AA class.
  • Led the search and interview process to find the best local co-broker in Chicago to partner with.
  • Guided space programming to pinpoint square footage and utilization, targeting 3X–4X expansion.
  • Ran a competitive proposal process with five shortlist options to maximize lease concessions.
  • Services included team assembly, space utilization/design, commute analyses, site selection, financial modeling, lease review, and move-in oversight.
