Franklin Street just arranged a lease with the tapas restaurant Bulla Gastrobar. They’ll be situation inside a 5,500 square foot space within The Morrison mixed-use development at 936 South Howard Avenue, joining the already announced Zoe’s Kitchen. The Morrison is scheduled for completion in early 2017.
“This is a one-of-a-kind location in Tampa for Bulla,” said Franklin Street Senior Director Brian Bern. “The SoHo corridor and Hyde Park is one of Tampa’s hottest communities with fantastic demographics to support mixed-use developments. It is particularly attractive to many restaurants and boutique retailers.”
Bulla is a Spanish-inspired tapas restaurant that began in Miami. Their menu includes Chorizo De Bellota (black foot iverico pork sausage from Salamanca), Tartar De Atun (ahi tuna, mango, avocado, soy sesame vinaigrette, Sriracha aioli), Cubano iberico (bellota ham, piparras, presa billota, tetilla cheese, mustard aioli, pan de cristal) and hazelnut waffles. The restaurant also offers a variety of larger plates like the Bulla burger (45 day dry-aged beef, piquillo peppers, cipollini onions, tetilla, honey thyme glaze, brioche bun and truffle fries).
The central attraction at the restaurant is the bar. They have a never-ending wine list, a selection of craft cocktails such as the Bullfighter (bulleit bourbon, Dow’s port, aperol, lemon juice and cranberry) and the suavecito (cazadores anejo tequila, campari, angostura bitters, cherry bitters, agave nectar, cinnamon stick).
