A salon concept plans to open its first two location in Northeast Florida and could open as many as 10 more in the coming years, according to the brokerage firm that represented them in negotiations.
Salon Lofts has signed leases at Lakewood Promenade shopping center at the shopping center adjacent to the Winn-Dixie on in the 1600 block of University Blvd. W. and in the Cobblestone Village in St. Augustine at State Road 312 and U.S. 1.
The University Boulevard location will open this week with the St. Augustine location planned for spring 2018.
Franklin Street’s Carrie Smith represents Salon Lofts in the region. She said the stores will bring a new customer base to the centers where they will open.
Salon Lofts has opened or plans to open 115 locations across 14 cities. The majority of the locations are located on the East Coast or Midwest. The brand, according to Franklin Street, has an aggressive expansion plan in North Florida and anticipates opening an additional eight to 10 locations in the region.
