ATLANTA—Franklin Street COO Danny York has been appointed president of the real estate company’s Capital Advisors (FSCA) division based here.

Company officials say as COO of Franklin Street the past five years, York, who co-founded Franklin Street in 2006, has helped the firm build four offices throughout the Southeast—including one in Atlanta where he currently resides. He also has overseen more than $500 million in annual transactions nationwide. During his transition, York will remain heavily involved in Franklin Street oversight and its recruiting efforts.

In his new post he will oversee the division’s business development efforts as well as develop and maintain all debt and equity relationships. He will be in charge of a four-person team in Atlanta and Tampa.

“Our capital advisory group offers Franklin Street significant opportunities for growth and accentuates the benefits of a full service real estate platform,” says Andrew Wright, CEO and managing partner of Franklin Street. “I have complete faith in Danny and am confident that he is the perfect leader to create a successful and dynamic mortgage banking firm.”

“With the economy continuing to improve and capital sources loosening up, our capital advisory group anticipates a strong pipeline of business,” York says. “Franklin Street was founded as a capital advisory group, creating the momentum which led to the development of our other business lines, and I look forward to ramping up this division of our business once again.”

Prior to joining Franklin Street, York was an originator at Marcus & Millichap Capital Corp., before helping a California-based bank grow its nationwide multifamily lending platform, the company states. He was the top-producing East Coast account executive in the two years he was with the bank. York moved back to Marcus & Millichap Capital Corp. to oversee three markets in Florida before co-founding Franklin Street. Download PDF
