TAMPA, Florida (May 13, 2025) –
Today, Franklin Street announced it hired Jason Donald as Managing Director of Retail Investment Sales in Tampa. Donald brings 25 years of experience working with institutional clients and executing large projects on their behalf in Tampa. He is joined at Franklin Street by his preexisting team including a senior associate and an associate, both with tenure in the Tampa market.
“Franklin Street offers what I’ve sought throughout my career—a high growth trajectory and a culture that is unlike any other in our industry,” Jason Donald, managing director of Retail Investment Sales, Franklin Street, said. “We’re targeting high-impact, institutional deals, and no other firm gives you more tools, talent and support to get it done. The ability to offer clients tailored solutions across the full lifecycle of a transaction while having institutional capability is an important differentiator. When combined with a culture that is collaborative, we feel like we are in a prime position to leave an indelible mark on Tampa.”
Donald previously worked for Cushman & Wakefield and is joined at Franklin Street by Jessica Etchieson, senior associate and Madison Chaney, associate. The team will focus on institutional level deals in the Tampa market. Donald has a combined value in transactions of more than $2.2 billion and has represented clients such as Transformco, Duke Energy, Driven Brands, Truist, Yum! Brands, Achieva Credit Union, and Hughes Supply.
“Franklin Street wants to build around dominant market leaders, and Jason is a big recruiting win for us because of his experience and entrepreneurial spirit,” Greg Matus, executive vice president, Franklin Street, said. “Jason brings great relationships with tenant representatives and experience working on major transactions while also having the capability, drive, and desire to be high performing. We’re excited to support Jason and his team’s growth in our home market.”
Donald also shared his outlook on Tampa’s retail investment sales market for the remainder of the year.
“We are optimistic about the velocity in the market as interest rates slowly fall. We believe consumer confidence will drive the need for retailers to expand, creating additional investment opportunities.”
