What Now Atlanta: Mixed-Use Development Coming to Cobb County in Early 2023

A new place to live, dine and shop is headed to Austell.

A new place to live, dine and shop is headed to Austell. On the calendar to open early 2023, The Village at Brookwood adds a bustling retail hub to this thriving commercial node at Austell Rd. and the East-West Connector in Cobb County. The mixed-use, multifamily development is replacing a former Burlington-anchored shopping center at 3753 Austell Rd. SW.

Three commercial buildings totaling 25,000 square feet form The Village at Brookwood’s front entrance offering single and multi-tenant pads — including a drive-thru — ideal for lifestyle amenities. The exclusive leasing agent Franklin Street is seeking fast-casual restaurants, a coffee shop, salons, medical services and boutique fitness operators to create the ideal offering for Austell’s growing population.

“Many of Atlanta’s suburbs like Austell continue to see strong growth, and with that growth comes new and exciting projects like the redevelopment of The Village at Brookwood,” explains Sam Krueger, retail director for Franklin Street. “This really is an opportunity for retailers to be showcased directly in front of a new multifamily community that is sure to be in high demand in this submarket.”

Within a three-mile radius, nearly 25,000 households with an average household income topping $83,000 enjoy walkability to shops and services as well as connectivity to other neighboring amenities such as Wellstar Cobb Hospital — without being too far from popular Atlanta landmarks and social venues.

Plans for The Village at Brookwood also include 338 residential units in five buildings featuring covered parking. Even a dog park ensures there’s space for all family members.

TLM Realty of New York, NY and Greystar Real Estate Partners of Charleston, SC. are developing this mixed-use community that is adjacent to another Greystar-helmed mixed-use community also expected to be complete in early 2023
