As the President of Real Estate Services, Kurt Keaton is responsible for the business development and the daily management of both Franklin Street Real Estate Services and Franklin Street Management Services. Not only is he in charge of growing these divisions, but he also leads the continued development of each division in alignment with Franklin Street core values—Collaboration, Integrity, Hard Work, Accountability—and the firm’s overall business strategy.
Prior to Franklin Street, Mr. Keaton served as Managing Director for Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), where he was responsible for delivering the national investor suite platform to owner clients across the nation including property management, project management, agency leasing, and investment sales. Previously, he worked as Market Director for Florida, where he monitored the profit and loss of all JLL brokerage, property management, and project management operations across the state. Under his leadership, JLL quadrupled its investor client portfolio to more than 30 million square feet.
Mr. Keaton has been named twice as one of JLL’s Top Guns and is a two-time winner of the JLL Club Award and the Management Excellence Award. He also received the Orlando Business Journal’s 2018 Veterans of Influence award.
Mr. Keaton earned his Bachelor of Science in General Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy, where he played intercollegiate football and served as a Squadron Commander. He received his Masters in Commercial Properties (MICP) designation from the Lipsey School of Real Estate and maintains an active real estate license.
