Blake Starbuck is the Director of Sales for Franklin Street’s Insurance division, where he is focused on recruiting top-tier sales talent, standardizing producer training, and expanding the firm’s reach into new markets and client segments. Based in Tampa, Starbuck works closely with team leaders to support the development and mentorship of new associates, ensuring they have the tools, guidance, and structure to succeed.
Prior to joining Franklin Street, he held the role of Senior Vice President of Producer Development at Marsh McLennan Agency, where he led recruitment, training, and sales strategy for new insurance producers across the state of Florida. During his nine-year tenure, he developed a robust program to onboard and train rising producers, resulting in a 60%+ validation rate and over $2.5 million in new revenue generated by mentees.
Starbuck is passionate about mentorship and development, having served as a mentor for MMA’s Growth in Resources and Opportunities for Women and Colleagues of Color initiatives. He is also actively involved in his community as a volunteer coach for Keystone Little League, a mentor and judge for Florida State University’s RMI Sales Challenge, and a volunteer with Metropolitan Ministries.
He holds both a B.S. in Merchandising and an M.S. in Risk Management and Insurance from Florida State University.
