Longtime commercial real estate professional Tom Farmer joins Franklin Street’s South Florida office as Director of Agency Leasing.
Farmer specializes in landlord representation and tenant representation for office and retail clients throughout Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. He comes to Franklin Street with more than 10 years of commercial real estate experience, most recently as a Senior Associate for CBRE’s Brokerage Services division. In that role, Farmer provided strategic planning, landlord and tenant representation, acquisition and disposition services to corporate clients.
“Tom brings a wealth of experience with a variety of clients including USAA, Merrill Lynch and Bank of America to our growing Office and Industrial Services team in South Florida,” said Greg Matus, Franklin Street’s Regional Managing Partner, South Florida. “His addition is another example of Franklin Street’s commitment to a full-service approach for all commercial real estate property types. Farmer will be working closely with Lisa Jesmer, who joined the firm from CBRE in October of 2015. Jesmer currently oversees a portfolio of office, industrial and retail buildings throughout Florida and has been leading the company in its business development efforts within commercial management services.

A graduate of the University of Miami, Farmer starred on two National Championship-winning Hurricane baseball teams. As a pitcher, he was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the seventh round of the 2001 Major League Baseball Draft. Farmer spent five years in the Tigers and Los Angeles Dodgers organizations.
A licensed commercial sales associate in the state of Florida, Farmer is based in Franklin Street’s Miami office.
