Professional Experience
As President of the Real Estate divisions at Franklin Street, Kurt Keaton is responsible for the strategic growth and business line integration serving clients across various markets and product types. These include capital markets, leasing, property management, and project management covering office, industrial, retail, and multifamily. Kurt actively engages with the Franklin Street team to solve problems for both investor and occupier clients by tailoring this integrated platform of services, oftentimes to institutional clients he has maintained personal relationships with for many years.

For 16 years prior to Franklin Street, Mr. Keaton served in multiple regional and national positions at JLL. Prior to being recruited into the President of Real Estate role at Franklin Street, he was a Managing Director responsible for delivering the national investor suite platform to owner clients across the nation including property management, project management, agency leasing, and investment sales. Previously, he worked as Market Director for Florida, where he led all markets across the state and was responsible for the P&L and integration of all JLL business lines throughout the state.

Mr. Keaton was named as one of JLL’s National Top Guns three times and was a two-time winner of both the JLL Club Award and the Management Excellence Award. Since joining Franklin Street, he has earned the company’s Leadership Award, the Orlando Business Journal’s Veterans of Influence Award, and in 2023 won the Orlando Business Journal C-Suite Award.

Mr. Keaton earned his Bachelor of Science in General Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy, where he played intercollegiate football and served as a Squadron Commander. In 2021, he attended Harvard Business School and completed the Real Estate Management Program. Mr. Keaton also received his Masters in Commercial Properties (MICP) designation from the Lipsey School of Real Estate and maintains a real estate salesperson license.
