Franklin Street’s North Florida office has taken over leasing for River City Marketplace, the area’s second largest shopping center. The marketplace is 99 percent occupied, though it is facing the prospect of Gander Mountain closing after the new owner said it was unlikely that it’d remain.
But more space is being added. A new 6,000-square-foot building was just completed with Tropical Smoothie Café and Mattress One moving in. Work will begin soon on a 14,000-square-foot building that is close to fully committed, according to a spokeswoman. That leaves two outparcels along Interstate 95 and another 2 acres planned for office, industrial and medical tenants at the intersection of Airport Center Drive and Main Street.
