ATLANTA—Former Cushman & Wakefield retail investment sales executive Gary Saykaly has joined real estate services firm Franklin Street’s office here as a senior director.

Saykaly is charged with working with brokers throughout the firm to bolster its retail investment sales and advisory platform that is focused on anchored open-air centers located in the Southeast and surrounding states and retail assets owned by REITs and institutions.

Gary is a top level professional with an impressive track record in assisting REITs, institutional clients and major private investment groups and developers in the buying and selling of assets throughout the Southeast,” says Andrew Wright, CEO and managing partner of Franklin Street. “Adding a professional of his caliber and experience is a huge asset for Franklin Street as we continue to grow our business throughout the Southeast. With more than $3 billion in retail investment sale transactions, he is a perfect complement to our already strong and diverse service base.”

While he will be primarily focused on retail investment sales and joint ventures, Saykaly also will work with Danny York, president of Franklin Street Capital Advisors, to provide an accretive and holistic investment advisory approach focused on helping clients determine the optimal investment and/or capital solutions and then providing best-in-class execution at a retail property or portfolio level, the company states.

Prior to joining Franklin Street, Saykaly was a senior director of Cushman & Wakefield’s Southeast retail investment sales platform and a member of its national retail investment advisory team.
