Ramco-Gershenson Properties Trust (NYSE:RPT), a national shopping center real estate investment trust (REIT) headquartered in Farmington Hills, MI, has retained Franklin Street’s North Florida office to exclusively handle leasing at the 918,665-square-foot River City Marketplace on Jacksonville’s Northside.

The second largest shopping center in North Florida, the expansive River City Marketplace opened in 2006 along I-95 on the east side of the Jacksonville Airport exit.

Developed and managed by Ramco-Gershenson, the regional power center is anchored by Lowe’s, Wal-Mart Supercenter, Ross Dress for Less, Michaels, Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy and Regal Cinemas – the only movie theater on Jacksonville’s Northside. The center also sports several locally-owned shops including Barnett Jewelers and Peterbrooke Chocolatier.

Whitney Kantor, director of retail leasing at Franklin Street, and managing director Carrie Smith will handle leasing on behalf of ownership. The pair is currently marketing several expansion parcels available for development in front of Regal Cinemas as well as small retail space.
