Health-focused, grab-and-go concept to open in Brooklyn Station

Katy Figg, director of retail leasing at Franklin Street's Jacksonville office, represented Grabbagreen in negotiations. Finding the right space for a new concept can be tough, she said, but she expects this location "to knock it out of the park."

A healthy grab-and-go concept will be opening its first location in Jacksonville this fall at Brooklyn Station.

Grabbagreen will open its first location in the area between Burrito Gallery and the previously-announced Drybar in the Fresh Market-anchored shopping center near Downtown.

Katy Figg, director of retail leasing at Franklin Street‘s Jacksonville office, represented Grabbagreen in negotiations. Finding the right space for a new concept can be tough, she said, but she expects this location “to knock it out of the park.”

“Brooklyn Station offered an opportunity for the concept to launch operations in a proven center with a customer base focused on healthy eating,” Figg said.

Grabbagreen is a food and juice restaurant that utilizes “super food” ingredients and offers a wide selection of grain and green-based bowls. It was founded in 2013 and has opened 3 franchised units and stores across the United States with 15+ stores to open by the end of 2016.

The local Grabbagreen will be owned by Randy Jeppesen, who previously worked at Andersen Consulting for 15 years. Jeppesen is planning additional locations near the St. Johns Town Center and at Jacksonville Beach.

“I believe in the offerings and business model, and we think this market has an unmet need in this kind of grab-and-go healthy alternative to typical fast food,” he said in a news release.
