Franklin Street announces it has appointed Josh Dohring to become the newest member of its growing North Florida office. Dohring has been named an associate director, retail leasing and will join the retail tenant services team. He joined the team this month after relocating from Seattle.

Dohring specializes in retail tenant representation and development throughout Jacksonville and North Florida. Since 2006, he has participated in a wide spectrum of commercial real estate transactions, including investment sales, leasing and property management. His extensive relationships and broad experience in all aspects of the industry gives him the unique ability to connect with and deliver added value to retail landlords and tenants alike.

Franklin Street’s tenant representation team serves retail clients such as Dollar Tree, Hardee’s, Great Clips, First Watch, and Newk’s, among others, across North Florida and South Georgia.

“We are proud to have Josh join our growing team,” said Yvonne Baker, regional managing partner for Franklin Street. “His complex commercial real estate experience, coupled with his vast knowledge of urban renewal and economic development, are great additions to our local group of expert retail brokers.”

Previously, Dohring held positions with major commercial brokerages in Seattle and Tampa, including Ewing and Clark, Coast/Sperry Van Ness and Commercial Partners Realty. For eight years, he was a principal with Dohring Group, Inc., a Tampa-based firm focused on commercial real estate appraisals, brokerage services, evaluations and consulting.

He has also been an entrepreneur and sales executive. From 2012 to 2015, he launched, owned and operated eBoats Tampa, a water-based recreation business credited with activating Downtown Tampa’s waterfront and attracting international businesses to invest in downtown real estate. The genesis for eBoats was Dohring’s interest in economic development and real estate value improvements in downtown, especially related to highlighting Tampa’s best asset while offering unparalleled connection to commercial real estate properties in the area. eBoats is ranked the #1 outdoor activity in Tampa by TripAdvisor. He successfully sold the company in 2015.

Dohring has a consistent track record as an avid economic development supporter and business community leader. He was an active member of the Real Estate Investment Council (REIC), the Tampa Downtown Partnership and the Florida Gulfcoast Commercial Association of Realtors. He is a past president of the Tampa Independent Business Alliance and served on the board of the Tampa Attractions Association. He also held posts on various committees for Visit Tampa Bay.

Dohring earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Florida State University and has participated in various professional sales training programs. He is currently pursuing his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.
