Burger Barn Opening New Location in Orlando Tourist Corridor

Jacksonville-based fast casual chain to open a Central Florida restaurant on International Drive.

Burger Barn is set to open its first Central Florida location in the heart of Orlando’s tourist corridor at 11787 International Drive. The hamburger restaurant chain is slated to celebrate its grand opening on May 18th in the Orchid Bay Plaza. Burger Barn’s menu will feature fresh, pressed-to-order burgers, hand-dipped milkshakes, and crispy chicken wings. Franklin Street’s Terrence Hart and Tim Rogers represented both the landlord and tenant, respectively, in the transaction.

“The execution of this lease signals that outdated sit-down restaurants are being replaced by a new wave of fast-casual, high-quality food concepts,” said Rogers, senior associate for retail leasing at Franklin Street’s Orlando office. “Franklin Street is proud to help Burger Barn expand its presence within the Florida market.”

“Burger Barn views Orlando as an ideal target market due to its heavy tourist volume of 75 million people annually, as well as the rich diversity of cultures in the area,” said Austin Miett, restaurant manager at Burger Barn. “Burger Barn uses only the highest quality ingredients served in a family-friendly environment. Our unique processes for preparing the food allow us to cook burgers quicker than other restaurants. Our keen attention to detail to every order helps us to serve the perfect product every time. Lastly, Burger Barn started as a family-run establishment and will continue to operate as a family business committed to customer satisfaction.”

Burger Barn’s first restaurant was opened in Jacksonville in 2017. This is the chain’s second location in Florida and its first stand-alone Burger Barn. The Orlando location will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.

Orchid Bay Plaza is situated on International Drive, less than three miles from SeaWorld and two miles from Orlando’s Premium Outlets. Burger Barn will join Dunkin’ Donuts, IHop, Golden Corral and other national brands as co-tenants at the retail center.
