Atlanta Business Chronicle: With retail vacancy at its lowest point in a decade, ‘Atlanta is running out of restaurant space’

In its metro Atlanta retail market report for the fourth quarter of 2021, Franklin Street cited numerous factors creating “an incredible amount of demand from retailers,” which includes restaurants. Among those factors were customers looking to get out in the world and shed their pandemic isolation, and huge companies such as Microsoft and Google announcing major expansions locally.

As a result, more retailers are “looking to take advantage of Atlanta’s growth,” according to Franklin Street. This has created an “extremely competitive market.”
