What Now Atlanta: In Sea of Restaurants, Hammond Springs Looks To Bring Wellness, Selfcare, Fashion Tenants to Center

‘We’re looking for upscale brands, either locally owned or nationally recognized, that will complement the great assortment of businesses currently at Hammond Springs,’ says Franklin Street, the center’s broker.

There’s no shortage of dining and shopping options along the stretch of Roswell Road that runs through the core of Sandy Springs, Ga. But more options in the wellness, beauty and women’s fashion categories may soon be headed to one of the corridor’s most visited shopping centers, Hammond Springs.

The 70,000 square foot retail center at the corner of Hammond Drive and Roswell Road is the ideal location for those products and services that are sought-after by neighboring communities. With the average household income within a three-mile radius topping $153,000, it’s the affluent female shoppers who are the focus, says Sam Krueger, retail director for Franklin Street.

According to one study, women control over 83 percent of consumption in the U.S., in buying power and influence. “That’s a good thing for us as we pursue small shops such as fashion boutiques, high-end med spas, salons and interior design outlets,” continues Krueger. “But our focus is also on anyone who wants to look and feel their best.”

These categories have all recovered exceptionally well in the Atlanta market following the pandemic. Specifically, spa/beauty and apparel sectors each reached over 100% of pre-pandemic foot traffic levels by mid-2021, according to Franklin Street research.

Owned by SITE Centers, Hammond Springs features thirty-plus storefronts surrounding a plentiful parking field with multiple access points and adjacent to Lowe’s Home Improvement. Three prime spaces ranging from 1,300-1,700 square feet, including a highly visible endcap, are currently available.

Krueger adds, “We’re looking for upscale brands, either locally owned or nationally recognized, that will complement the great assortment of businesses currently at Hammond Springs.”

Hammond Springs attracts nearly a million visitors annually with an average of 2.5 visits per consumer — not a surprise as the daytime population tops 150,000 within a three-mile radius.
