Fintech firm moving from Tampa suburbs to historic Ybor cigar factory

Franklin Street arranged the lease of 21,500 square feet of Class A office space in Tampa’s historic Ybor City neighborhood to TransferWise.

A fintech firm with an expanding Tampa presence is moving from the suburbs to a historic cigar factory in Ybor City.

TransferWise, which is based in London and opened a Tampa office in 2015, has signed a lease for 21,500 square feet at 2000 E. 11th Ave., the former M. Stachelberg & Co. cigar factory. The building is three stories, 36,640 square feet and was built in 1894.

Chris Butler, managing director with Franklin Street in Tampa, represented the landlord.
