Franklin Street is currently seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to join our team in Tampa, FL.

The ideal candidate must possess 6 years or more of applicable general accounting experience and a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field from a regionally accredited college or university. Certified Public Accountant designation is highly preferred. Public accounting and NetSuite Accounting Software experience are preferred. Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Position Overview:

The Corporate Accounting Manager will supervise the corporate accounting staff and support the CFO and Controller. The Corporate Accounting Manager will oversee and perform accounting, financial reporting, and auditing functions for Franklin Street and our affiliated businesses. Successful candidates will be those possessing general ledger accounting, financial reporting experience, and strong systems and process proficiency combined with an enthusiasm for customer service.

  • Follows generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to perform a variety of accounting functions for various real estate and related service companies:
  • Performs journal entries
  • Compiles and prepares monthly financial statements
  • Prepares general ledger reconciliations
  • Performs month-end closing processes
  • Oversees accounts receivables, accounts payables, and payroll transactions
  • Responsible for administering accounting policies & procedures, monitoring internal controls and database management
  • Supervises the corporate accounting staff
  • Works on special projects and performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 6 years or more of applicable general accounting experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in accounting, business, finance, or related field from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Certified Public Accountant designation highly preferred
  • High level of proficiency in computer skills including MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and internet / application software is required along with a willingness and ability to learn new software programs
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • NetSuite Accounting Software experience preferred
