HWE represents ownership in the sale of one of Buckhead’s premier select-service and all-suite hotels
ATLANTA, Georgia —
Hodges Ward Elliott, the premier boutique hotel real estate capital markets advisor and a part of Franklin Street’s national platform, announced it has brokered the sale of the SpringHill Suites Atlanta Buckhead to an institutional buyer. The 11-story hotel offers 220 suites, 2,233 square feet of meeting space, an indoor pool, an expansive fitness center, a large outdoor patio and 131 subterranean parking spaces and is located at 3459 Buckhead Loop NE, Atlanta, GA 30326.
“This sale represents the first brokered hotel transaction in years in one of Atlanta’s most dynamic submarkets,” Clint Hodges, senior vice president and executive managing director for Hodges Ward Elliott, said. “Buckhead’s diverse combination of Class A office space, world-class shopping, luxury hotels, fine dining, high-rise residential, and popular entertainment venues is unrivaled in the Southeastern U.S., providing the property with a true seven-day demand base.”
As the only high-rise select-service hotel in Buckhead—one of the country’s most acclaimed urban mixed-use areas—the SpringHill uniquely benefits from its location on the heavily-trafficked Buckhead Loop and proximity to the Buckhead MARTA station, affording the property both excellent visibility and unmatched accessibility to the rest of Buckhead and Atlanta as a whole.
“New ownership plans a comprehensive capital plan that will touch all aspects of the guest experience, including guest rooms, meeting spaces, public spaces and amenities, and will significantly upgrade the hotel’s technological infrastructure, back-of-house spaces and building envelope,” Michael Tormey, senior director, Hodges Ward Elliott, said. “This large-scale renovation will allow the SpringHill to generate outsized market share going forward as the most recently renovated Marriott-branded hotel in the entire Buckhead submarket.”
The hotel will continue to be affiliated with SpringHill Suites by Marriott.
