Brett Price serves as Director, Loan Origination for Franklin Street Capital Advisors in the firm's Atlanta office. With more than 20 years of financial services experience, Mr. Price specializes in loan origination, negotiation, and structuring of debt and equity investments for all asset types.
Prior to joining Franklin Street, Mr. Price served as an Adjunct Professor of Real Estate Development Finance at Columbia University, a private Ivy League research university in Upper Manhattan, New York City. He previously served as Asset Manager for a $3.5 billion REIT operated by Clipper Equity, a New York Stock Exchange-traded residential landlord and development firm based in New York City.
Mr. Price also worked as owner and Managing Director for Avenue Real Estate Services, a real estate investment and property management company with offices in Georgia and Tennessee. He grew the business to 20+ employees with gross annual revenues of more than $4 million before successfully selling the firm in December 2015.
Before starting Avenue Real Estate Services, Mr. Price owned a general contracting company specializing in residential properties and commercial office projects. He began his financial services career as an analyst for Merrill Lynch’s private client group in Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Price also served on active duty for six years with the U.S. Marine Corps.
Mr. Price received bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Economics from the University of Tennessee. He earned a bachelor’s in English from Lipscomb University and holds a Master of Science, Real Estate Development from Columbia University. He is a licensed real estate broker in Tennessee and Georgia.
